About Air Pear
Make Air Pear your first pick for energy conservation
The Air Pear Thermal Equalizer, manufactured by Airius, LLC in Longmont, CO, delivers energy conservation for your sustainable building.
The Air Pear system is the most efficient and cost-effective destratification product available, and makes traditional ceiling and warehouse fans obsolete. Savings of up to 30 percent or more in energy costs are possible using the Air Pear Thermal Equalizer system.
The Thermal Equalizer system utilizes a multiple unit approach, which allows greater and even wider coverage, as opposed to one large central system. Air Pear Thermal Equalizers service ceilings from 8 feet to 100 feet high.
What is destratification?
Stratification is a term used to describe the difference in air temperatures as you go from floor to ceiling in enclosed structures. Destratification is achieved by efficiently balancing these temperatures from floor to ceiling.
The Air Pear’s compact, low wattage and nearly silent air turbine will balance out a facility's temperature, from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. Air Pear’s patented air delivery system focuses a compact column of air from the ceiling directly to the floor.
How Air Pear saves on energy costs
In a building with a 30-foot ceiling there is approximately a 15°F+ temperature difference between the floor and the ceiling. With higher ceilings it is even more. That means to generate the heat necessary to maintain a comfortable 68°F temperature at the floor level, where people work, the ceiling will be a toasty 83°F or higher. That is a huge waste of energy and money.
Within a very short period of time, you’ll have no more than zero to 3° differential from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. When this happens, it doesn’t matter whether you’re trying to heat or cool the facility. Your HVAC system will simply have less running time because it will not have such extreme temperatures to heat or cool, and your thermostat also will be satisfied for longer periods of time. You’re recycling the heating and/or cooling that you already have paid for!
