Air Pear Rebates

Your Air Pear installation may qualify for energy rebate from your public utility.

By installing the Air Pear Thermal Equalizer system, your business may qualify for an energy-efficiency rebate from your utility, depending on the rules in your area.

It’s a good idea to check with energy savings programs run by local governments in your area. They can assist with energy audits and paperwork that may help you to qualify for energy rebates.

In Colorado, Automatics & Machinery Co. in Longmont qualified for a rebate from Xcel Energy, the public utility serving Colorado and seven other states (Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota.)

To qualify for the Xcel Energy rebate, a company’s energy efficiency project must have a payback of 15 years or less and be authorized prior to purchase of equipment.

The Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) program in Boulder County helped Automatics & Machinery CEO Steven Beck navigate through the utility rebates, the Longmont matching grant program, and the energy audit recommendations that led to a complete lighting upgrade of the company’s warehouse and office and installation of the Air Pear Thermal Equalizers.

Automatics & Machinery received an $854 rebate on its total cost of $5,124 to install seven Air Pear Thermal Equalizers. Annual energy cost savings were estimated at $901 at current prices for a simple payback of just 4.1 years. The EnergySmart program estimated a savings per year of 14,311 pounds CO2.
